Curiosity that grows
Bolt turns AI into play, so children ask more questions, test ideas and want to know how the world works.
Age levels
AI will be part of your child's learning, hobbies and future work. Children who learn to use it well now grow up confident while others are still catching up. Mind Forge Kids turns these skills into something children genuinely enjoy.
Give your child a good start with the technology that will shape their future.
Bolt turns AI into play, so children ask more questions, test ideas and want to know how the world works.
Clear questions, checking information and creating with AI are skills that will help at school and in the jobs of the future.
Children learn to use AI to think more, not less, so their homework and ideas stay their own.
They know what never to share online. The AI account always belongs to the parent, who does the typing while the child does the thinking.
Catching a robot out makes a child feel clever, and that confidence carries over into other subjects.
You do every activity together, so you learn alongside your child and become part of their digital world.
Mind Forge Kids is an AI learning programme for children aged 3-12, designed with parents in mind. We teach what AI is, how to use it wisely and safely, and how to keep thinking for yourself while you do.
Bolt is a friendly robot who works in our forge. He's very clever and very, very literal: he does exactly what he's told. Just like real AI.
He guides your child through every part of the workbook. He sets the mission, hands out tasks and sometimes gets things wrong on purpose, waiting for your child to catch him out.
Through play and laughter, not lectures. Children don't memorise definitions. They discover for themselves that a vague instruction gives a strange result and that sounding confident isn't the same as being right.
A shared language with your child. When they say “Bolt wouldn't understand that”, you both know it's about clear instructions. “Bolt made it up” means: let's check together.
Four levels that follow the journey AI itself takes: from pixels, or data, through patterns and algorithms, to training a model. As your child levels up, they move through each stage of how AI works.
How AI works and where its answers come from.
How to give good instructions and use AI as a helper.
How to check, stay safe and make your own decisions.
Pixels is 10 short games for children aged 3-5. Almost no screens, no stress, plenty of laughter. Your child discovers what a machine is, that it follows instructions and that it sometimes gets things wrong. You're the guide, and we show you how to run every game.
Buy once and all the siblings can use it. Print as many copies as you need.
How machines differ from people and why they do exactly what we tell them.
Simple commands for a toy robot and a first chat with a voice assistant, alongside a parent.
Machines make mistakes too, and big decisions are made with a grown-up.
You become the robot. Your child gives you commands: "two steps", "turn round", "pick up teddy". You do exactly what you hear, even when it turns out funny. That's how your child first discovers that a machine doesn't guess what we want.
We're not teaching children to operate technology, we're teaching curiosity and common sense. It's movement games, colouring and conversation. A child who knows a machine can be wrong is better prepared for the world they're growing up in.
Pattern Spotters is 10 parts for children aged 6-7, done together. Your child discovers patterns, builds first algorithms and tests how a machine learns from examples. All on paper, cards and games, with no independent use of devices.
Buy once and all the siblings can use it. Print as many copies as you need.
How machines learn from examples and why the result depends on what we show them.
Precise screen-free instructions, in other words first prompts through play.
Not everything a computer says is true. We never tell a machine our name or address.
Your child "programmes" you, and you make a sandwich exactly as instructed. "Butter the bread"? The butter goes on the crust. After a few goes your child works out that a good instruction has to be clear and specific. That's exactly what working with AI demands.
Not on their own. At this stage we teach how AI thinks, not where to click. Any contact with a real tool happens alongside you, and most activities don't need a screen at all.
Algorithm Builders is 10 parts for children aged 8-9 who are increasingly working on their own. They write algorithms, collect data, train a simple model and learn to check whether AI is telling the truth.
Buy once and all the siblings can use it. Print as many copies as you need.
What data is, how a model is trained and how algorithms work.
Asking AI questions together with an adult, comparing answers and training a simple model.
We check a second source. AI helps us think, but it doesn't think for us.
Your child trains a model to recognise objects, then deliberately spoils its data. Suddenly an apple becomes a ball. That's the lightbulb moment: AI is only as good as the examples it learnt from. It's a lesson that sticks.
No. Every part has a parent box with a short explanation and tips on how to help. For activities with real tools we guide you step by step, and your child never creates their own accounts.
AI Trainers is 10 parts for children aged 10-12, finishing with their own project. Your child learns how a chatbot really works, how to catch made-up answers, spot deepfakes and write good prompts. Above all, they learn that AI should help us think, not think for us.
Buy once and all the siblings can use it. Print as many copies as you need.
How language models work and where bias and hallucinations come from.
Writing and refining good prompts. Using AI to learn, not to do homework for you.
Deepfakes, privacy, honesty at school and the ethics of using AI.
Children receive AI answers that sound very clever. Some contain made-up facts. The task: find them and prove it. After this lesson your child no longer takes a confident tone as proof of truth.
Quite the opposite. One part teaches directly how to use AI to learn ("explain this to me", "quiz me") rather than to do homework. A child who understands AI also knows when using it is dishonest.
Age is a good guide, not a rule. Answer three questions.
Start with the package that suits your child's age. One package covers the whole family: buy once and print as many copies as you need. Mind Forge Kids Club members get 20% off every package.

Interactive birthday parties with a bit of learning. We turn up, run the fun, and the children leave smarter than the robot. The cake is all yours: Bolt doesn't eat, though he'd very much like to.
A club for families who want to be smarter than the robot every week.
Artificial intelligence is already in phones, at school and in homework. Your child will use it anyway. The question is: will they understand it, or just trust it blindly? In the club you learn this together, at the kitchen table, in 15 minutes a week.

Short games that show how AI works. They're best played together: you read, your child decides.
‹ Back to the home pageChoose what Bolt should make. The more you tell him, the better it turns out. Try it first without choosing anything. Go on.
AI can sound very sure of itself and still be wrong. Bolt will say five things. Some are true, some he made up. Can you tell which?
Every child at Mind Forge Kids follows them. Even Bolt. Almost always.
“Dog” gets you a dog. “A sleepy dog in a tiny hat, as a poem” gets you something brilliant.
AI can be wrong. Before you believe it, check in a book or ask a grown-up.
Never tell AI your address, your school, your passwords or your full name.
