This policy explains what personal data Mind Forge Kids collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We have kept it as short and plain as we can.

Who we are

Mind Forge Kids ("we", "us") runs mindforgekids.com and is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us:

Children's data

We do not collect children's personal data. Every purchase, booking and account is made by a parent or carer. We never ask for a child's full name, address, school, photo or date of birth, and we do not record any live session. In schools and nurseries, we do not ask for pupils' names, photos or any other details.

What we collect and why

• When you buy something or book a session: your name, email address and order details, so we can deliver what you paid for and send you receipts. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
• Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe's own privacy policy is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
• Newsletter and free poster: your email address, so we can send you tips and news. We only do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• Live sessions: our workshops and online sessions run on Zoom. Zoom will see the display name you choose, so we suggest using a first name only. Cameras are optional and we never record.
• Mind Forge Kids Club: your name and email address to manage your membership and give you access to the private parents' group. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
• Enquiries: if you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
• Schools and nurseries: the name and work contact details of the staff member we deal with, so we can arrange and invoice the programme.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We only share it with the services we need to run Mind Forge Kids, such as Stripe for payments, Zoom for live sessions, our email and newsletter provider and our website host. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

• Orders and payment records: six years, because we have to keep financial records for tax purposes.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Club membership: for as long as you are a member, then as for order records.
• Enquiries: up to two years after we last hear from you.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our payment and booking pages may set cookies that are strictly necessary for them to work securely.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
